BeamNG Drive continues to grow, and I was wondering if someone could create a mod to support dual controllers on a single PC. It's not about multiplayer, just using two controllers together. The idea is that when managing crashes, you'd control one car while the AI handles the other—given how strong the AI is, I think it makes sense. If dual controller support existed (and maybe split-screen cameras), it would be amazing, especially for other BeamNG YouTubers. I really enjoy split-screen games because they let friends who don’t have powerful PCs still play together. I’m hopeful BeamNG plans to add online multiplayer soon, but a split-screen mode would also be great. The question is: Can a split-screen mod be made?

(Ironically I'm watching this post while actually playing beamng xD)
#1: Beamng already supports multiplayer controllers—no need for separate devices. You could use a keyboard and mouse for one player, an Xbox controller for another, and a wheel-and-pedal setup for the third. Just make sure to turn on "Multiseat Session" in the game settings.
#2: A split-screen setup would be a good idea.
#3: Running LAN multiplayer could be too data-heavy, since it would have to track every detail at each node—speed, friction, status, damage changes—and each car has many nodes. But it might actually work... Could be...

It's almost been a year now, but the split-screen feature remains missing. They've made progress on the sound engine, though.
