I've been exploring beamNG drive for a week now. I'm still figuring out how well it's recognized. I decided to capture some screenshots and share my impressions. The game offers a lot of customization options for physics settings. Gravity shifts dramatically—from lunar levels to Saturn’s pull, which feels quite intense. Wind speeds range from a gentle 5m/s to over 250m/s, especially when dealing with large vehicles or strong crosswinds. Daylight cycles and headlights, indicators, and door animations are fully adjustable. The modding scene is outstanding, featuring realistic planes with damage systems and even humorous crash test dummies. However, performance can be a challenge; running many vehicles simultaneously may cause the game to slow down to about 15 FPS if you load too many. The mods are incredibly convenient—they’re simple to download and install, just drag-and-drop, eliminating the need for zip extraction. Some vehicles are available as mods, like the popular pigeon, which can be tweaked extensively from tires to body removal. Overall, this game leans heavily into destruction and fun chaos. I highly suggest it to anyone with a casual interest in cars—there’s a wealth of maps, UI elements, Lua scripts, and diverse objects like catapults, cranes, and crushers.

Looking for a place to purchase it? Steam might be an option.

Purchase via their site: http://www.beamng.com/BeamNG.drive to receive a Steam key. I think adding some videos would help, but overall it’s an incredibly realistic soft body physics experience limited only by your creativity.

You purchase the game via their site and receive a Steam key. BeamNG offers a fascinating soft-body physics experience. It still needs some additions like a true game mode, but they're developing race features.

I’m enjoying it a lot. Even without a game aspect, I’ve already logged 16 hours!

The soft body effects work well, but the movement controls are poor.

I own this title; it’s pure excitement seeing a pickup roll a car in slow motion. Truly amazing.

They're refining the system, with fresh updates on tire dynamics just released yesterday. Progress is expected as improvements accumulate with each release. EDIT: minor tweaks to friction curves rather than entirely new concepts.

It's an interesting game, though the arrangement of choices feels poor. Its high level of customization makes it nearly overwhelming.
