Be cautious of misleading ads or confusing wordplay. Avoid being a beginner and lose your time and money. Adaptor name: Adaptor Cudy UE10A, USB-A to RJ45 Every step in the manual confirmed it works. Tested with a USB 3.2 2x2 LAN cable, achieving over 125MB/s on the original LAN port (before freezing during an update). Checked Realtek Adapter details—shows speeds of 1gb/s in Windows and dvmgmt.msc. Listed as supporting 10/100mbps/1000mbps, which makes it hard to claim fraud. Might have spent more if I chose a better brand. Stay alert about Cudy and avoid this company. Ktxbye, Pete

Your connection speed isn't determined by the adapter's speed alone.

125MB per second, Wi-Fi active on one side but connection weak, I only manage around 5MB per second, so I release it

This post explains the main goal of the article...the adapter claims to deliver up to 1GB per second in short form.

Confirm if all your devices are operating at the same 1Gbps rate. Use local testing tools like iperf3 to check performance, not just online speed checks. Remember, internet speed differs from your local network speed. Which other Ethernet port achieves comparable results?

Yes, all your networking devices are Gigabit capable. Today’s routers still offer 100 Mbps ports, and the standard Ethernet connections range from 10 Mbps up to 10 Gbps. Every piece of gear must match both the desired speed and the appropriate cabling. Internet speed and LAN performance are different concepts. From your recent speed test data, the adapter appears to be functioning properly. Speeds exceeding 100 Mbps should only be supported by Gigabit hardware. If you aim for faster internet, consider contacting your ISP.

MBps in my thoughts means a nearby transfer; the image you shared was a web test, not a local one. We need a local test using the USB adapter. Also, use USBTreeView to check the actual USB connection speed (not just the port name) to rule out any issues on the USB side.

Hello there! Just checking if your connection speed is around 125MB/s, not 125Mb/s or anything else.
