Hello, Bclk overclock is effective in certain conditions. Today I tried 5.1Ghz, 5Ghz with multiplier, and 100MHz BCLK (102Mhz bus speed), and it performed well. Questions: 1) How much overclocking is possible with BCLK? 2) Is it risky? Most importantly: 3) If BCLK helps a game, what does that imply about my RAM bottleneck? Thanks! Specs: i7 10700K, 16GB @2666, 16-16-16-39.

USB problems can develop gradually. I assumed everything would be fine with Cherry. After six months of using 4.17Ghz USBs at my regular BCLK, a 100Mhz speed seems negligible, especially with GPUBound enabled. Not really making much of a difference. I don’t think it’s worth the chance. My original choice, when I upgraded from 3.9Ghz to 4Ghz after my USB ports failed (only two USB3s left), was worth it.

It changed day and night in impact but not due to GPU limits, just a single-core game situation. This old title still doesn’t run properly even at 5.1 GHz, though BCLK improved things significantly.

Leaving the frequency at 101 MHz is generally safe as long as it aligns with intended use and regulatory standards.

Certainly, there might be minor variations in the board tolerances.
