Battlefront does not allow entry, cannot switch to windowed mode
Hey guys, so, the BF beta starts for me and prompts me to title screen. I can also move the cursor. However, when it prompts to press enter and I press enter, absolutely nothing happens. I've tried both enter keys, tried another keyboard, and I've also switched to a lower res screen to raise the framerate a bit. It also is upset that my Intel driver isn't x14.something or higher, even though according to the textbox I'm at x.15.something, so... yeah. Lots of people mention that I should Alt-Enter to get into Windowed mode, but that doesn't work, and when Alt-Tabbing it goes into windowed mode, but I'm unaible to drag the Window around as it just fullscreens again. Any ideas?
Sure, after a full PC reboot, the same problem persists—maybe it will resolve itself later.
The nvidia control panel was set to integrated graphics, which I corrected. I also installed the latest nvidia driver. However, it caused my computer to crash when I opened Battlefront. Even after unchecking "erase old driver," the previous one was removed, forcing a manual reinstall. The update claiming better performance with this beta seems weak. After switching back to the old driver and using my dedicated GPU, everything works smoothly. I’m frustrated because EA’s minimum requirements are unrealistic—my game runs at medium-high settings with stable 60fps (even at 900p) on a 860m GPU and 4x MSAA. That’s decent for a new title, but you need to improve those specs. It looks like EA hasn’t updated the unlock status yet; it should be available soon.
The open beta starts at 11:30AM CST. For me, preloading only works around 11am CST, but it's still a problem since many don't have fast enough internet to do it in half an hour.
It might be because the system starts at various times in different locations, likely to avoid overloading the servers. They'll still work once the main network is active.
