Battlefield players dislike DICE and EA because they feel the company isn’t truly listening to fans. Only a few see the CTE improvements as positive, while most remain frustrated. If DICE/EA cared about players, they’d have invested more effort and released updates sooner. Many also dismiss CTE as just another test environment, ignoring its real impact. There were significant issues with older Battlefield versions that aren’t widely remembered—like the Titans lagging in 2142. In my opinion, Battlefield has consistently pushed boundaries ahead of its time.
I used to play Hardcore Tactical S&D, which is a rule-heavy version of the game. I was part of an American clan for about two years on their public server. Toward the end, I joined their clan wars, though I generally dislike them and had enough ESL matches in CS 1.6 back then. After three months of competing against many clans, I got banned and kicked from my clan. They accused me of hacking or cheating, but it wasn’t true. Their "evidence" came from linking PPBans GUIDs using the same IP address. If you have a changing IP, there are likely dozens of other players connected to you. For me, three GUIDs were permanently banned—one German and two from the UK. They provided demo recordings and sent them to PPBans, but they came back clean. When I asked for the demos after being banned, they claimed they were lost. TL;dr: CoD players who can’t handle an ex-ESL CS1.6 player banned me.
I used to be super into battlefield games. When BF4 was released, I moved over to CS:GO. They’re probably going to improve the game with the upcoming update, but I’ll keep an eye on it. As for kids being rude, it’s similar in every game—not just Battlefield.
I believe BF gamers tend to be quite reserved. They rarely engage in conversation. The players I consider the worst in my view were on Sniper Elite v2 and Left4dead2, where you can easily get kicked for minor mistakes like rushing—especially with snipers who only camp. If you rush, they usually kick you in about 99% of cases. In Left2dead2, they tend to kick you if you’re not staying still. They usually linger in safe houses or with supplies while you’re sprinting toward the finish, and they’ll just kick you! This is really frustrating. Speaking English can be problematic too—if you start talking it up, some Russian or Turkish players might get aggressive, as I’ve seen several times. When compared to BF players, these are definitely much less skilled!
Where are you playing? I mostly encounter that outside a few moments when someone calls me hacker in Spanish. I've only been blocked a couple of times, but everyone I've played with or against has been pretty rude, though I've had some fun in cod4 on PC.
Usually I just mess with the kids who are chatting on QQ and getting upset. Their reactions are hilarious at times, and I and my friends just laugh at them for being silly. As others mentioned, don’t generalize people. It’s wrong to do that.
