You can join multiplayer with just the base game. The premium version costs $20, but the base game is available for $4.99.

Choose the BF4 Premium Edition now. I received it with BF3 Premium during the Spring Sale a few months back, and I’m happy with my decision.

The solo player mode in Hardline isn't something you'll find online. It's designed for local play only.

Thanks for the update. I chose the $5 standard version. I also own the Robbery DLC, likely because it was offered free from May 3 to 10. It seems the Hardline and Bf4 DLCs will be given away periodically until Battlefield 1 launches. That could mean I might get full Premium access for Hardline soon, making the $5 standard edition a solid deal right now. http://www.polygon.com/2016/5/3/11584132...e-dlc-free
