Battlefield: Hardline features "SecuROM" Similar to DRM
Source: http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/ea-infe...y-drm.html Well first off this is such BS coming from EA. Origin isn't enough I assume? We need another layer of DRM? I'm completely flabbergasted at this that I can't even come up with a reasonable response. What are your thoughts?
Do you recall when Assassin's Creed 2 came out and the official Ubisoft release was inferior to the pirated version? Before you accuse me of being a pirate, I don't support piracy, but these DRM restrictions make the cracked version more appealing. Ubisoft then filed complaints about piracy on PC. A straightforward way to prevent piracy is by offering a strong product that runs smoothly on UBI servers, avoiding constant crashes, data issues, and login problems. Steam succeeded by providing a compelling, value-driven DRM system that truly benefits players. It's not complicated.
Ubisoft performs the same actions, confirming DRM functionality. This message comes from EA warning users to be cautious.
I'll wake up the next day, and torrent platforms will keep sending me messages saying "We have hardline!"
