Battlefield 4 still horrible but why?
Battlefield 4 still horrible but why?
My setup includes the FX6300 clocked at 4.0 GHz, ASRock 970 Extreme 3, 2.0 GHz MSI GTX 780 Lightning Edition, Corsair H60 water cooler, Corsair 750W power supply, and Corsair Vengeance RAM 1600. I've tried all the fixes possible, but the game still stutters intermittently. It's really frustrating. Is there a problem with my hardware? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
The multiplayer experiences heavy lag every few seconds, even when graphics are reduced. Many believe AMD can cope on its own, but will Intel fix the issue naturally? My gaming performance won’t improve automatically—unless I spend around $400 and reset my system.
Additionally, the AMD Phenom X4 965 BE appeared to handle the game more smoothly. I haven’t reinstalled it, but I’m unsure if that made a difference.
It would cost around $250 to $300 including taxes for an upgrade to Intel with an i5 and a compatible motherboard. Consider restarting the GPU drivers first, then attempting to reinstall BF4.
The CPU could lead to occasional frame rate reductions, but the description of "severe stuttering every couple of seconds" seems more intense than what I expect. I'm running a Core i5-750 and have played BF4 since beta without major problems. Clearing the video drivers and reinstalling the game might help; if that fails, a full reformat could clarify whether the problem lies with software or hardware.
