Hello everyone, I shared my experience about the Nvidia game driver for Battlefield 2042 before. After some discussion, it looked like the problem was fixed and the game ran smoothly for a couple matches. However, my performance dropped significantly—my frame rate fell to around 8. I’m curious if anyone else has faced this issue or knows a fix. I noticed that in other games like Valheim and House Flipper, the graphics load seems to handle the GPU better, even when fans are revving. But in Battlefield 2042, since the driver update was just two weeks ago, nothing changed.

I experienced some problems with 5-6FPS during game start or when adjusting graphics settings. After updating drivers, it works fine. Occasionally raising the resolution scale to 1.3 or 1.5 via console gives me around 5-6 FPS initially before it stabilizes. It seems I’m stuck in this low frame range for a long time. Try different drivers—perhaps an older one from last year might help. 2042 is a bad number; it’s not your issue. I’m using 3070 STRIX and 5900x.
