For a deeply engaging and historically faithful World War I simulation, Verdun is the way to go. Battlefield 1 offers a relaxed experience but delivers value for its price. I’ll take a look at the early reviews and assess whether the base game’s content matches expectations before deciding to buy. Looking ahead, I’m eager to see what others think about Battlefield 1 before committing.

I'm just starting out, buddy... I really laughed when I saw your age and thought you'd enjoy the games. But I actually played more first-person shooters, and eventually you'll get tired of them too—it's just a loop. Call of Duty started off better technically because of its audio design. That’s all changed now. COD really dropped after Modern Warfare. The idea of shooting through walls made a huge difference. Back then, you had to rely on sound to find enemies—if you heard someone dying, you’d have to chase them. It was exciting. I remember being pretty good, capturing many servers with a much higher K/D ratio every time. Now I don’t care about it. I get in, get hit right away when I spawn, and don’t let it get too emotional because it’s still beta. But I expect the same experience in the store. Plus, the memory issues are really bad right now—many players can’t finish three maps without a controller. It’s pretty disappointing.

More expertise? It remains the simplest Battlefield title yet. I haven't played it and haven't reached the top rankings, whether in Conquest or Rush. There are no revives, which is a key feature of Battlefield since it removes the medics indicator for teams. Tanks are straightforward to use because no one can surpass them unless they own one themselves. Bullet drop is reduced significantly. With guns less potent than today's standards, it feels outdated. I've never experienced such effortless sniping in a Battlefield game before. Planes are enjoyable, especially with the back-seat pilot and machine gun options, and they're equally satisfying to operate. Horses are essentially motorcycles with a separate health bar. Battlefield 1 isn't even among the top releases, let alone the best first-person shooter. I doubt CoD or Battlefield will ever claim that title again.

The map in the beta feels like a real battle of jakku during WW1.
