I've noticed some performance hiccups lately. Running an 880K from AMD with an RX 460 doesn't seem to fix the problem—whether I push it hard or keep it low, I'm stuck around 30fps and sometimes drop to the 20s. It's like the game isn't using its potential consistently. Could this be a setup issue or just how these newer games behave?

Likely the budget processor. It could also be under-optimized, but it would benefit from a CPU paired with a GPU that performs better.

In my view, the battlefield games are well-optimised, though not the top tier. Your CPU is likely the main concern. Your 8350 and 290X can handle BF4,1080 at 60 FPS without trouble—just think about upgrading to a newer architecture or switching to Intel for better performance.

Up to now I'm familiar with memory leak resolution issues. Are there any other experiences you'd like to share?

Typically, games become more efficient as time passes. Since your CPU is a bit outdated, you might want to check how older titles handle performance before investing in a newer setup or upgrade.

Earlier BF titles work well, yet BF1 suffers from many problems. Mid-level configurations cause unstable fixes and size problems, plus the most common issue is excessive memory consumption exceeding 13GB.

Hey there... It's been a rough day. Did Battlefield 1 take its toll?
