Battlefield 1 experiences significant FPS variations
Hey there! I just got this PC built a month ago and recently noticed my FPS swinging wildly—from 100 to as low as 40 when I play BF1. It usually kicks in during intense moments like explosions, lots of players shooting, or fighting. I’m using all my settings set to ultra, but I thought my specs should handle it. Here’s what I have: i7-6700k GTX-1070, 16GB RAM, gaming at 1440p. Both Windows and the game are on an SSD. Any advice would be super helpful. Thanks!
You're experiencing the same issue, likely due to a game or server problem on 64-player servers.
Check the version of your graphics driver to confirm if it's running on dx11 or dx12.
Your hard drive age is being assessed along with disk utilization. Malware may inflate usage to full capacity, which antivirus software can address. Additionally, we are checking the chipset installed on your mobozmonoxid device.
I'm playing the game at 4K with a steady 60 FPS. I adjusted several graphics options, but everything stayed high or ultra on my GTX 1080. The only settings completely disabled were AA, which affected particle and effects. I had to lower those to maintain smooth 60 FPS at 4K. It's hard to say which made the biggest difference since they did a solid job coding the effects.
