Battery problem on HP Probook 4520s
Hi, I just bought a used HP Probook 4520s, put in a hard drive that holds 500GB of storage and 8 gigabytes of memory, and loaded Windows 10 on x64. The laptop is working well while it's plugged into power, but the moment I unplug it, the battery life crashes down to just 45 minutes or even less in my taskbar. The battery drains very fast when it's not connected to a charger. Also, the whole computer gets super slow and hard to use after unplugging. This is making using the laptop almost impossible for me. I could really need some help fixing this!
I just bought a used HP Probook 4520s. The first step is to try swapping out the battery to see if that fixes things. If you can take it to a shop, check the power delivery area on the motherboard for any strange signs of wear or damage. Also, look at your RAM sticks. For your laptop, I suggest replacing the hard drive with an SSD instead of the current one.
Thank you for the tip, I'm sure to check it right away! But I still don't get why my computer turns off or acts strange whenever the battery is supposed to be all good.
