Basic information about a Star Citizen player.
Hey everyone, I've been wanting to play Star Citizen for ages now, and finally with my 970 sli I can. The game seems really cool, and I'm okay with how it's funded. Could anyone suggest which first ship to aim for? Whether you're into trading or piracy, I'd appreciate your advice. Also, do you have any beginner guides or resources you recommend?
What is your budget for this project? For a short budget, the Cutlass ships make a solid choice. Regarding merchant vessels, Freelancer seems like a top pick within budget constraints. If you share your budget details, we can offer more tailored advice. Are you looking for basic information on controls, lore, or everything? The official site is the best resource. Thanks! I’m aiming to start under $70 and have a good grasp of the gameplay, but I’m still confused about how the economy works.
You don't have to stress too much about the game's economy just yet. We'll need a while before we start earning real in-game currency to buy upgrades and stuff. Also, we're not very familiar with how the economy works—feel free to challenge me if you think I'm wrong. For under $70, your choices are limited (the merchant ships and accessories cost more than that). If you want Package Deals instead of single ships, here are some options: Mustang Gamma 70$ (or lower variants) 315P 75$, Avenger 75$ (I own this one and I really love it!)—though the last two are about $5 more, but I didn't mind if it stayed within budget. There are also other ships under $70, but they're not merchant-class and don't fit your budget. Just remember you can use any ship for piracy—though it won't be as restrictive as racer ships since they have decent cargo space. Keep in mind that pirates should aim for the Avenger or Mustang models around $70.
I think this could indicate a delayed update or new version in the future.
Great! You're aiming to keep costs below $50. How about checking the aurora reports for merchant opportunities?
the "economy" will launch in stages, beginning in march when we can start browsing online. additional updates will follow as more is released in each subsequent release. over the past week they've shared recordings from town hall meetings at pax south, providing extensive details about the economy and the university. I've reviewed all of them three times yet I still need to revisit a few parts because I'm missing some information.
