Consider these options: 283$, 250$, or 222$. You can pair the i5 11400 with the Asus EX-H510M-V3, the i5 11400F with the same motherboard, or the i3 12100F with the Asus Prime H610. QuickSync on OBS should work for recording 1080p60 at 60fps on a dedicated GPU, though performance may vary depending on your setup.

I’d suggest the i5 honestly. The IGPU adds good value for fixing issues. Quick sync with GPU might work, but I doubt it’ll be smooth. I’ll also check preowned units from the 10th generation, CPU and motherboard pairings, etc.

I’d pick the 12100F because it’s plugged into a current socket, the single-core performance is noticeably quicker, and it’s the most affordable option. Right now it offers the best value for gaming if you’re focused solely on that. You might also consider the non-F CPUs, but using NVENC on an Nvidia card would be more effective. If this is your goal, the i3 12100 is a solid choice.

I believe I should opt for the 11400f since it's $80 cheaper than the 12400f, only $20 more than the 12100f, which is about $10 per core. The price-performance doesn't justify the 12400f. If you plan to play games and record at 1080p60 while using the GT 1030 GDDR5, it might be worth considering. You could hold off on buying the 12400f until GPU prices drop, then sell the GT 1030.

This setup gives you six cores with slightly reduced performance compared to the four current/fast options. I tend to favor the 11.4GHz model.

I chose 12400f and hoped prices would drop for the motherboard
