Bad frame rates when playing games with DirectX 12?
So back in 2019 when i got the f1 game, i had a choice between dx 12 and dx 11. I picked dx 12 and got about 4 fps. Then i tried dx 11 and it was okay too. But now f1 22 only lets you use dx 12. When i run it on my r5 graphics, i get a bad 4 fps because my gpu is just weak. My brother has an older card that works fine even if he doesn't have the power upgrade. I got a radeon a10 9600p with an r5 and a dedicated r7 m340 with 8 gb of ram. That's what i told you about. Weird thing is, games say my system uses r5 graphics but task manager shows it using r7. Any ideas how to fix this? I read that link https://forums. but he didn't say if it helped. I'm asking again here. If you need more info just reply
Welcome to the forums! Newcomers, make sure your laptop is on the newest BIOS version first. Hey there, tell me what model and number (SKU) of your laptop is it? Use DDU to wipe all your GPU drivers completely, then go back to the AMD website for a fresh install right-clicking the file and running it as an administrator.
It's a dedicated graphics card like a GPU, so you should probably get the software/drivers straight from the company that makes it instead of AMD.
Do you know what a mobile GPU is how special is it for the hardware? Because both are AMD GPUs and which drivers do I need to put on my built-in card or my powerful card?
On the laptop's support page, find the list of GPUs and chipsets. Don't just install new ones yet. Use a tool called DDU to wipe out your old drivers first. Then you can try installing the right ones on the link provided here: https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/dis...nload.html
So it is an HP 15-ba062nc but those drivers are from 2016, and for amd they were released in 2019 so they are pretty old. Also because I am using older windows versions, I only see gpu audio keyboard and these stuff but not chipset ones.
Their GPU package has a list of drivers that work for both of your graphics cards, so you can just copy them and check how the games behave.
Ok I'll try but how to use DDU i know in safemode but please explain and if gpu drivers are only thing needed?
Restart your computer in Safe Mode, open DDU and remove the AMD drivers. Here is how to reinstall GPU drivers using DDU: 2023 Ultimate Guide from Driver Easy. In this step-by-step guide, we will show you exactly how to reinstall drivers with DDU and tell you what to do to stop these problems happening again. Go to www.drivereasy.com then you should probably disconnect from the internet like turning off your wifi (notebooks have a Fn button)/unplugging the ethernet cable. restart to normal Windows mode (without internet) then install the GPU driver
You need to turn DDU off on the computer where you are going to remove the driver, and that's the small box sitting in the top right corner of your PC.
