I own an i7-9700k and an RTX 2070. However, in games the CPU usage is 40-60% while the GPU is only 40%, resulting in around 150-180fps. Could you assist me?

Since 150fps works well, a 40% GPU usage isn't unusual. Have you gone through the standard checks?

OMG
OMGG!! Thanks! The freeSync was turned on on my monitor, which brought the frame rate up to 280 fps. Thanks for being an absolute legend!
