Your performance might decrease noticeably, but it shouldn't be catastrophic with those settings. Discord, YouTube, and Twitch can still work well depending on your internet speed and server stability.

You're right to suspect it. Have you looked in Task Manager? It might be that Windows Defender or another antivirus program is consuming a lot of CPU resources.
