When my pc encounters boot problems, I reinstall windows to restore functionality. I've relocated user folders such as desktop, downloads, documents, and photos to the D drive (I use partition C for windows files) to prevent data loss during new installations. Because certain programs and drivers are stored only on the C drive, I must reinstall them each time I install a fresh Windows copy there. This is frustrating. Is there a method to move these essential programs to the D drive as well?

Use tools such as Macrium Reflect for image backups to the Drive. Avoid moving files to the D Drive; simply store images there. If issues arise, restore the drive and everything should function correctly. After restoration, your installed programs will operate flawlessly and your data will remain secure.

I replaced the operating system to resolve boot problems. Where did you obtain the installer for your software?

This approach doesn't make sense. Following an OS reinstall would still require another install. Rather than reinstalling the OS, consider using full drive images. This method can also serve as a backup solution. What backup options do you have at home? What backup options do you have at home? And if you don't have one, why not? Every day I see people asking "How do I recover my data?" or "That drive held 5 years of photos!" Whether it's a dead drive, lost phone, virus, or accidental deletion, formatting issues... forums.

I don't grasp your point clearly. Could you provide more details? This will help me explain it better.
