No one has checked whether probe points on motherboards differ from real socket voltages. You don’t have access to the PC at the moment.
I believe the variation should stay close to a 0.010v gap between probe locations and the socket’s back. There will always be some resistance along the path, whether from the board traces or the multimeter itself. Adjusting by perhaps ±0.005v makes sense in any case. Why?
Software displays offer approximations and have constraints because they can't capture quick voltage changes. For precise measurements of the core voltage, you need to connect an oscilloscope directly to the socket or the CPU, as some setups do.
Maybe you're running a mod that needs you to input measurements in a specific format.
