Opting for a 7800x3d isn't worth the added cost.

I've got a 1440p monitor that's quicker than what I currently use. I'm switching from an AOC Gaming CQ32G2SE to an ASUS ROG Strix XG309CM.

That wasn't a major improvement, right? You definitely don't require 7800x3D for 1440p gaming, and 7700 is still fast.

Old and new versions of the same concept. I've used Ips before and favored it.

The B650 Pro RS is a reliable build. VRM can manage a 250W CPU, while the 7800X3D draws no more than about 90W. It offers many features at a good price. The board includes three M.2 slots on a compact design, three RGB headers, a Type C port on the interface, and an integrated IO plate. It's a top choice for MATX boards.
