Yesterday the Gigabyte Center released updates for me without any manual intervention. One of them was a BIOS upgrade for the F20 model, which coincided with my CPU update and led to overheating issues. When I opened an app, temperatures rose to 70–80°C, forcing fans to work at 90–100%. A fresh Windows install didn’t help, so I flashed a newer BIOS (F21), which slightly improved idle temps to around 35°C but still caused high heat when apps ran. I attempted a return to F8 settings, but no difference was seen. I’m seeking guidance and can share any details if needed. Here are my system specs: CPU – AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Cooler – NZXT Kraken 240 (78.02 CFM), Booster – B650 AORUS PRO AX, Memory – Kingston Fury Beast 64GB (2x32GB) at 6000MT/s DDR5 CL36 RGB, Storage – Samsung 990 Pro 2TB & 980 Pro 1TB, Graphics – GIGABYTE Radeon RX 7900 XTX Gaming OC, Case – North PSU Corsair RM1000x (2021), Fans – 6x Noctua NF-F12 iPPC 3000 PWM, with 3 intakes front and 2 top with AIO, plus 1 exhaust rear.
