The board's VRMs are terrible. Just move it back to where you picked it up and go. The hardware unboxed couldn't even push it to full power on an i7 11700.

For a K chip, opt for a gigabyte z590 UD. It's affordable and works well.

If you really want to save money on a board, opt for a non-K CPU like the 104/5/600(f). It’s usually fine for basic use and is also quite affordable.

It looks like Z590 boards are still quite costly. The most affordable option I've seen is the wifi version on Amazon. If you haven't bought any components yet, you might want to look at a more budget-friendly B550 board instead of the 5600x.
