You have two motherboards: a ROG Strix B550-f and a Gigabyte X570 gaming X. Your setup includes a Ryzen 5 3600, 5 fans, and an RTX 3070. Which one should you choose? The ROG B550 offers more features compared to your lower-end X570.

Choose the B550 instead unless you need more than one PCIe 4.0 NVMe drive. It supports just one 4.0 NVMe port.

Check if both PCIe Gen 4 drives are present. If yes, choose the X570. Otherwise, the B550 offers a better board.

Both devices are 3.0. You have an SN750 1TB and a HP ex900 250GB, using a boot drive SSD plus one HDD.

Also you don’t need to spend too much time on this. I’m thinking about adding just two GPUs for mining when I’m not playing, based on what I’ve seen. (image) It’s unclear if it’s worth it, but I’d appreciate some advice from someone with experience. Also, will having two GPUs and two M.2 slots require sharing lanes?

You possess a 3.0 and a 4.0 drive. Consider using the B550, or for future upgrades, opt for the x570.

This configuration is suitable for B550 systems where just one GPU connects to the CPU lanes, making it ideal for gaming. The extra GPU goes into the chipset, which isn't critical for mining purposes.

These mining cards require minimal bandwidth and can operate with just one slot. Mining should work fine.
