B550 or X570 compatible with Ryzen 5900X
I've chosen to refresh my setup and plan to install a Ryzen 5900X and an RTX 3080 (or possibly an RX 6000 if availability stays tight). For the motherboard, I'm leaning toward a B550 model since it eliminates the need for a chipset fan, reducing noise and potential points of failure. However, I'm concerned about sacrificing performance beyond the PCIe 4.0 lanes provided by the X570 chipset. Overclocking will require a board with solid VRM support.
