Yes, the X570-P stands out, though a Tomahawk still offers solid performance. For the B450, Tomahawk max and others like Mortar Max, A Pro Max (non-M), Pro 4, and Pro VDH Max are more than sufficient. The X570-P has its strengths, while the Tuf is also decent but pricier. For the B550, Tomahawk, Morat, A Pro, VDH, Aorus Pro, and Strix F all perform well. Overall, the X570-P is a strong choice.

The B450 AORUS Elite should handle a Ryzen 5 3600 well, but whether it’s better than the Tomahawk Max depends on your needs.

What budget are you aiming for? I wouldn't purchase a B450 unless it's extremely affordable since it doesn't support PCIe 4. These models offer comparable VRM to the B450 Tomahawk. Suitable for 3950x but missing additional PCIe slots.

Here are some options with solid VRM at the price range:

- https://pcpartpicker.com/product/7gxbt6/...b550-a-pro

It's not right, the price tag is too high and it doesn't justify the value.

You could use the MSI B550-A PRO, but since the Ryzen 5 3600 doesn’t require overclocking, the B450 AORUS Elite can still work well and offer solid VRM performance.

It's not terrible, but it's quite expensive. The tomahawk tends to work better.
