5000 series Ryzen typically performs well up to 3600MHz. Going for 4000MHz is rarely necessary since it may not install properly without significant BIOS adjustments or could slow your system by disrupting the FCLK and UCLK ratio. Just because a motherboard supports 4000MHz doesn't guarantee the same for the CPU. Try enabling XMP and then manually adjust the speed to 3600MHz.

In BIOS I enable XMP and attempt to boot at 3600, but it doesn’t start even though 3200 works.

Adjust timing, voltage, and frequency manually since the XMP profile might not apply. Consider 3600MHz as ideal for running Infinity Fabric at full speed. Running at 2000MHz is challenging but feasible. Your motherboard supports this setup.
