Hi everyone. Have you tried the updated "F11" BIOS version for the B550 Aorus Pro Ac (or the regular model, I assume it’s similar)? I’m planning to upgrade my BIOS since I’m experiencing issues with the board. The top four USB 2.0 ports show odd behavior. When I connect a headset, audio works fine, but when I attempt a Discord screen share of a game like Monster Hunter, the audio cuts out and pops, and the microphone stops functioning. Unplugging it also affects other devices connected to the main boards. The remaining USB 2.0 and 3.x ports under those four don’t have problems, showing no stuttering or power issues. I suspect this might be linked to the CPU controlling the USB ports instead of the chipset. I also noticed that using a USB stick in the top ports doesn’t interrupt the stream when the headset is active, but it completely disables my keyboard except for the lights. Outside of these issues, everything seems normal—no stuttering, Bluetooth, WiFi, or RAM problems.
I’m worried about updating because I’m using XMP memory that claims 3600MHz at CL16 but isn’t actually recognized (QVL not met). My new Corsair Vengeance LPX SKU is from early December, and it’s a fresh 5600X RAM. I haven’t had any RAM-related issues before, so I’m confident the board will run smoothly. I also have a 970 EVO Plus and an RTX 3060 Ti. If this update causes problems, I might run into Bluetooth or other issues.
My main concerns are:
- RAM speed is advertised at 3600MHz but not recognized (QVL missing).
- Using XMP for high-speed RAM without a QVL slot.
- Updating to the latest stable BIOS and keeping XMP enabled.
- Avoiding any recurrence of audio or keyboard issues after the change.
Anyone else have faced similar USB problems on this board or in F11 beta? Did the update resolve them? If yes, did you still keep XMP support? Please share your experience!
Thanks!
