I’m looking for a B550 motherboard now, but I found an X570 that seems similar in price. ROG Strix B550 fits at $254, the X570 Tomahawk is $269, and the Aorus Pro WiFi costs $272.

Tomahawk offers excellent performance, but spending $250 on a B550 motherboard isn't cheap.

I received it for 209, which isn't bad. 250 seems a bit high, but 300 or more is a solid upgrade for a midrange X570.

I’m considering the B550 Aorus Pro AC, though the Wi-Fi performance is poor, and there are concerns about the USB port from AMD.

B550-f isn't great, that's all. X570 tomahawk might be the top budget option available. X570 Aorus pro offers a decent build but feels a bit too expensive.

But nobody seems to mind? What's the big deal? The B550 isn't great, but the X570 Tomahawk looks doable for 5950x up to 5.0ghz without any problems. Thought it could handle it smoothly. Quite an odd scenario!

The VRMs are 4x3+2 SiC639's (tripled vrm... who does that?) priced at $250. VRMs by themselves aren't great, but ASUS goes the extra mile with four on the board. You face a steep ASUS fee and much of the cost goes into appearance rather than performance. The heat sinks are decent, but overall IO feels average for the price. I really wish you didn’t hear that from the lower tier list, kek.
