If I had to pick one of those two boards, I'd choose the Strix board. I just don't like Gigabyte ones for many reasons. Still, neither of these options would be my top pick. The B550 Tomahawk is cheaper than both, offers solid VRMs, looks decent, and has a better RMA process compared to Gigabyte—though honestly, most major makers aren't known for strong RMA support either.
Generally, these products lack debug LEDs until reaching the higher-end boards. Their BIOS settings are difficult to access, most boards I've tried have encountered problems, and the RMA service isn't very helpful.
