B450m Mortar Max receives a firmware update with no visual changes.
Hello, I upgraded my CPU from a 3600 to a 5700x and followed the instructions in a video about BIOS updates for this motherboard. After completing the update, the CPU light is on but I’m still unsure what’s wrong. I’ve tried removing the battery and other fixes, but the original 3600 model keeps showing the same error. My USB is formatted with fat32 and MSI.rom, which has no folders except the file itself. The system cycles through the entire process during the BIOS update. I’m not sure how to resolve this issue.
Consider using another USB drive. The one you currently have doesn't support BIOS updates on your B550 mortar, but switching to a different one resolves the issue.
