B450m bazooka has maximum Wi-Fi capabilities... Is it working without internet?
Why did I end up buying MSI again? I'm building a basic setup for a coworker. It's a 3200g with an MSI B450M Bazooka and max Wi-Fi, but it seems the connection isn't working. Anyone else experiencing this problem? Have you encountered similar issues with other boards? I've updated all MSI drivers and even installed the Intel dual-band Ac Wireless driver from Intel, but nothing changed. It just connects and disconnects. In Device Manager it shows as working, yet no drivers are installed for this device. To be honest, every MSI motherboard I've had before has had problems out of the box. Is this normal? I've never had any issues with an Asus or Gigabyte board before. Any advice would be greatly appreciated before I consider exchanging this for a Gigabyte B450 Wi-Fi unit. I only chose the MSI model because it came with Ryzen 3000 BIOS, while the Gigabyte wasn't.
I refreshed the bios for shits and giggles, and everything is now functioning properly. I don’t get why, but I won’t be complaining.
Great setup! Gigabyte X570-I with Wi-Fi is solid. Asus ROG B450-I is a solid gaming choice too. Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth make it convenient. A powerful performance in a compact form!
If I could confirm one thing for sure, it would be a definitive yes. Right now I’m using a 10700k as a temporary solution, but if the 3090 demands too much power, I might need to keep it. Power supplies beyond 750-800 watts are already maxed out.
