Check if the Gigabyte B450 I AORUS PRO WIFI (rev. 1.0) latest BIOS updates eliminate compatibility with older Ryzen processors. You're transitioning from a 2600 to a 5600 and plan to install the new CPU as soon as it arrives. The manual mentions a 16MB BIOS chip, which may limit support for certain CPU models. The support page doesn't clarify this, so I want to avoid losing access until the new CPU is available. It's not the end of the road, but it's a bit unclear. Edit: I'm currently on F40 and intended to move to F63a.

For future reference, and for those who might encounter this: I purchased my 5600 today, but kept my 2600 in after the BIOS update just to observe its behavior. It functions perfectly. While I can't confirm that all older CPUs are supported, the 2600 is still operational on F63a. And now, if you'll pardon me, I have a 5600 to install...
