3600mhz OC is the maximum for these boards. X570 supports higher speeds with Ryzen 3000 chips. Ryzen 2000 has more limitations when it comes to RAM overclocking. The B450 Elite can handle the 3700X stock, which makes sense since 3000 series CPUs are already near their limits. If you plan to heavily boost both RAM and CPU speeds, X570 or at least X470 is a good choice. For 3733mhz plus RAM overclocks, X570 with a 3000 series processor is recommended.

However, I noticed Asus and MSI B450 boards can easily hit 4000 or even 4400mhz. The only downside is they don’t include 2.5-inch slots, which I’m looking for.
