B450 Aorus Q-flash compatible without CPU
I assisted a friend in choosing the B450 Aorus pro motherboard and the Ryzen 5600X. It seems the BIOS isn’t compatible with 5000 series CPUs right out of the box, and there’s no older CPU available for an update. A friend mentioned Q-flashing, but the manual doesn’t specify which USB port to use or describe a button like in videos. I’m having trouble finding any guides or videos for a board without that button. Is this possible?
Use Q Flash to enter BIOS and it works with a CPU. Q Flash Plus avoids BIOS access and doesn’t need a CPU. The B550 model supports flashing as well.
That sounds like a possible approach, but it might not be the most effective. Updating the BIOS and swapping in a cheaper CPU could work, though you should verify compatibility carefully.
