So I've built a Ryzen 3 1300X based system on a B450 Aorus Elite Mobo and currently I can't change any CPU settings as they're all locked to Auto and I can't see any XMP support or Infinity Fabric settings. What Bios version should I be on and is there a specific updating order I should follow if I'm to simply go ahead and update to the lastest F64a version. I'm not home ATM so I'll check when I get there but I think I'm running version F1 right now. Cheers.

They offer a BIOS utility tool (@BIOS) that can handle updates automatically, though it doesn’t always reach the latest versions. You might want to try using it to check the outcomes. There seems to be no explanation for why certain settings are restricted on the board but the update process is available—consider testing it. If your current version is F1, updating could likely resolve the issue.

The utility has some issues. It sometimes installs the BIOS update partially and then rolls back after failure, but restarting the tool quickly fixes it. I’ve owned an X570 Gaming X board since 2019 and updated its BIOS multiple times. Using the update tool usually reverts to the last working version if it fails. However, updating via a USB drive isn’t reliable in my experience—it felt risky. I strongly suggest switching to another brand like ASUS; I’ve stopped using Gigabyte and won’t buy from them again.
