Sounds solid! Grabin’ that 5700XT and the Ryzen 3 later would be the way to go.

Wait for Zen 3 release and order a 4700X once it becomes available.

Check the MSI website for your board—it begins with 7B, right? https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/B450-A-PRO-MAX

Either way this is a max board. Meaning it supports the AGESA code for zen 2 out of the box.

The MAX line isn't something widely recognized. The BIOS information available only goes back to July 2019 after the Matisse release, which might explain why.

Hmm, seems like there might be some confusion. You mentioned it was 7C and the date was June 12, 2020, but your live update tool suggests otherwise. Would you like me to check that information?

According to @TofuHaroto, the product includes 3000-series compatibility from the factory, so everything should work fine.
