Hey everyone, need some guidance. I just upgraded to a B365M PRO-VDH with an I3-8100 and got a 16GB RAM kit (two 8GB sticks). Everything worked perfectly. For fun, I swapped in an old Dell RAM stick with the same specs and ended up with 24GB total. Now I’m running into trouble—my PC won’t post with all four sticks, and the debug lights are flashing (dram and CPU). To be clear, I have three different RAM brands but they all match in specs. I’ve tested each one alone, in various slots, and combinations. Still, adding a fourth stick causes the system to fail and the debug lights to light up. From what I read, my I3 should support 64GB, so why is it not working? Anyone else facing this problem or have ideas? I’ve searched online but haven’t found a clear solution yet.

The fourth option could be unsuitable; consider updating the BIOS.

There may be a compatibility problem when all four attempt to function together. Consider using one of the three with a single different setting, then run them in dual-channel mode to check for success. If it doesn't work, compatibility is likely the issue.

Thanks for the feedback. I've tested the fourth stick alone and it functions properly, appearing in the bios. All sticks operate independently and work well together in any mix or dual channel setup. I've tried every possible combination imaginable. However, when attempting to connect a fourth stick into the MB, none of the options post correctly. Debug light pattern: Dram 2 seconds hold – CPU flashes once (repeat).

Issue Resolved. Your input is appreciated. It seems one stick didn’t fit with the motherboard. I replaced it with another from a different PC, and it’s functioning properly at 32 GB. It’s curious that it worked alone or with just two sticks, but not when all four were together. For reference: The Dell stick was the one that didn’t work. (I swapped it with another Dell from another system, and it matches the 16 GB model.)
