B350 Tomahawk RAM problem
B350 Tomahawk RAM problem
Hey, a few days ago I received a B350 Tomahawk motherboard and Patriot Viper Elite 16GB RAM with 3200MHz speed. Both the size and frequency are compatible with the board. The issue is that it natively runs at 2133MHz, and even though I can increase it to 3200, the board treats it as an overclock. Is that acceptable? Shouldn't it be operating at those speeds naturally? If yes, how can I adjust it without doing an overclock?
Since it's overclocking, the base speed for DDR4 is 2133, which is not considered overclocked. Speeds above that are seen as overclocked. True overclocking would aim to exceed 3200 speed.
