I checked for suggestions on upgrading your CPU and GPU. Your current setup includes an Intel i5 6400 with a stock fan. You're using VR games like Steam VR with Oculus Rift S, Beat Saber, and Rolling Line, which are running smoothly. The DCS world and Derail Valley have some stability issues right now. Consider checking for newer CPU models or a better GPU to improve performance.

For VR, consider improving your graphics card. GTX 1060 prices are currently reasonable, making a 6GB model around $110 a solid choice. On the AMD side, the RX 580 offers good value for the same budget. The 6400 works well for VR, though socket upgrades aren’t very appealing. You might find a decent price on a 6600 and trade in your current CPU, but better options are scarce.

Thanks for the idea, I’m thinking about getting an Intel Core i5 6600k CPU. After some testing, my processor reaches full capacity when VR tasks are active, and the GPU jumps to around 80-100%. Beat Saber tends to be sensitive, especially with a recent update that sometimes causes random studding, which usually leads to both CPU and GPU spikes. I also discovered an MSI RTX 2060 that offers better performance than the GTX 1060 while being more affordable. My main worry now is whether the CPU I’m planning to buy can support the graphics card.
