Technically it's okay unless you consider the extra expense. Just like that, if the price is an issue, I’d switch to AC immediately. AX offers limited advantages for a home network.

AX represents a superior standard, though it may not be very useful if your devices are mostly AC wireless. The standard isn't fully complete yet, and they're planning to include 6Ghz with AX, which hasn't been done yet. Existing hardware won't support 6 Ghz anytime soon. My take on this WiFi situation is that it will likely take 1 to 2 years after release. First, manufacturers need time to integrate WiFi 6 radios into their products, allowing you to upgrade later. Second, it ensures all issues are resolved before launch.
