Well, you're facing some challenges with DannyBoii because you're using med settings on a GT1050 that only supports 640 CUDA cores. Lower all your settings and ensure shadows are disabled, textures are reduced, and AA/AF are turned off. This should provide enough performance to maintain around 60fps consistently at low settings. If it drops below about 38fps, the game will feel very slow and choppy. WoW is still CPU-intensive but performs reasonably well, though the Lich King update likely made things harder for cards. It's possible they adjusted this again later. Also, intense battles with heavy magic use can strain many PCs regardless. Make sure your internet upload speed is at least 1 MB.
Similar to WoW's timeframe using DX12. WoW doesn't demand much CPU power but struggles with multithreading due to poor optimization, a challenge the DX12 update addressed. The gap between high-end and average CPUs can be significant. My brother's setup doubled his frame rate after replacing his Ryzen 3600 and 3200MHz components with my upgraded 5800x3D and 3600MHz system. It wasn't a CPU-heavy task, just an older game with many assets to render at once. Essentially a technical hurdle.
