Hello everyone, I've been checking various sources and it seems uplay doesn't provide pre-loaded games. I'm curious if downloading the Skidrow files could work as a starting point, using them as a base for the day one patch once it becomes available. I purchased the game but it's frustrating not being able to play at midnight. Those who pirated just have to wait for the cracked version. Any suggestions or ideas? Could this be a possibility? Or should I try playing the cracked version first and then migrate my saves later? Thanks!
I purchased the game, so I feel confident in playing it anytime and in any format I prefer. However, the download speed is quite slow and it seems the crack isn’t functioning properly, so I might have to wait until it works before playing.
I’m not familiar with Canadian regulations, but I understand that in the United States, even if you buy the game properly, downloading, playing, or sharing a cracked version is still illegal. This is why some emulators are viewed with caution. The same applies to music. Your personal rules might differ, but you follow the laws set by others.
Maybe so, but I've always believed that. It's not common for them to arrest people for this kind of thing, only the major distributors get targeted. I also notice many users using emulators who claim it's acceptable since they own the game and recording was simpler. It feels more about whether you want to back the developers and support their work, and I think they put in good effort here to make it worthwhile for me. I didn't play Revelations, AC3, or Black Flag because I thought they weren't aligned with my interests—they took away features I valued, like upgrading armor, even though the progression was straightforward.
You decide what you want to do. I’m not ready to take that chance for just a bit more early gameplay. If you end up caught, how would it affect your career or life? In the U.S., piracy can cross into felony territory, which makes things much tougher. I didn’t say emulators are illegal, but some fall into a gray area. Using uplay and its DRM is part of what drives development. As long as Ubisoft keeps doing what they do, I won’t back them, and that means I won’t support their creators either.
The crack is already available. They can easily access it on any game or app. However, it seems the crack isn't functioning properly, so I won't bother trying.
