I’m horrified. I recently observed a performance test involving an FX4300 and GTX1050 in Overwatch to assess its gameplay. It achieved approximately 70 frames per second on medium settings. Previously, I had a GT710 and upgraded to a GTX1050 while retaining my original FX4300, which I plan to utilize for a Ryzen 3 purchase. However, after launching Overwatch, I’m experiencing 150 fps at epic settings—this is unexpectedly high. These benchmark videos are misleading; do not rely on them. Also, please assist me; my system is struggling with this level of frame rate as I am accustomed to significantly lower speeds, around 20fps.

Likely, additional elements contribute to that situation. Specifically, the RAM, power supply unit, motherboard, and related components. You should quickly adjust to the frame rates. Although it’s my initial experience hearing someone struggle with over 100 frames per second on a 60Hz display—considering the majority of settings operate at 60fps, naturally.

Likely, there’s more to consider – like the RAM, power supply, motherboard, and related components. You should also become accustomed to the frame rates quickly. Although it's my first time hearing that someone can’t manage over 100 frames per second when playing on a 60Hz monitor; considering the rest of the system operates at 60fps…

Ok... so your getting better FPS then the video, isn't that a good thing?
If the FPS is too much for your then cap the FPS via Vsync or the game.

Yes, that’s likely. However, I suspect he was trying to highlight the misleading fabricated performance metrics. I believe I recognize just one person who conducts those unusual evaluations.

Previously, I achieved a refresh rate of 75Hz while maintaining 150 frames per second on the highest settings with my GTX 1050 graphics card. However, my central processing unit is likely failing, and that's alright.

However, barring excessive heat from your processor or graphics card (a maximum of 80°C for the GPU and 63°C for the CPU), increasing frames per second isn’t detrimental. If overheating occurs, limiting the FPS to your display’s refresh rate will reduce temperature as your system won't be subjected to such intense strain.

He could have experienced issues with his RAM or motherboard or power supply unit. Alternatively, perhaps he simply activated or deactivated unusual configurations. These scenarios are uncommon, however. It’s inappropriate to advise individuals not to rely on benchmark assessments when you've exclusively observed a single individual performing them.

Numerous individuals utilize varying equipment, and despite employing identical GPUs showcased in benchmark videos, frame rates will differ due to variations in hardware. These videos serve as a resource for guidance and assistance.
