MB - Asus ROG Strix 570-e CPU - RYZEN 7 3700X RAM - CORSAIR Dominator Platinum DDR4 3200. Tried using four sticks and one in slot A2 as specified in the motherboard manual for SSDs (boot and storage). GPU - EVGA 2080 ti X. Video link: https://photos.app.goo.gl/5g7rwJcKYuyS6krt7. Story - I was performing maintenance on cooling parts (custom water loop) which involved removing the GPU block for cleaning and swapping the CPU block. After finishing, I restarted and noticed both the GPU and new CPU were overheating excessively. I refilled the loop, reapplied thermal paste, and tightened all CPU block screws (all Corsair Hydro X). After another round of fixes, I tried booting but got stuck in a 20s/30s/40s error loop. I cleared CMOS via the jumper as instructed, which resulted in an error code 02 but no startup. I then re-flashed the BIOS to version 4602. Once the BIOS update was done, the system remained trapped in the loop as shown in the video. I rechecked CMOS again, but nothing changed. I also tested the onboard HDMI port and connected a USB device except the keyboard. I’m at a loss and need guidance. Help would be appreciated!

No, none of the components were physically damaged during the maintenance.

Additionally, take a glance at that, it seems somewhat connected to your situation.

The bios update caused this looping issue, and it might indicate physical damage.

I would start by eliminating any physical harm, then examine all aspects—including parts you didn’t handle. ESD is uncommon now but remains possible.

I can only work with the GPU and RAM. I'll attempt to see how it performs.

There’s nothing further to discuss beyond the current findings.

I updated my 1080 Ti and everything functions now. Could the 2080 have been damaged if it wasn’t properly installed? Was there any chance I damaged the PCB during my previous setup? Is this a typical occurrence?

Extracted and repositioned the 2080 ti. Now outputs code 9E. Details unavailable. Connecting with the 1080 reverts to code 02, granting access to Windows.

It might have been harmed if it wasn’t installed properly. Is it still covered under the warranty? Just say it won’t function.
