I'm facing a serious problem and believe the motherboard is failing. I want to confirm my PC specs are correct: MSI Z490 carbon, 32GB RAM, Corsair Vengeance 3000MHz, Intel i5 10400, MSI Ventus RTX 3070, 2x OC, Corsair RM1000. Recently, games keep crashing and I restarted the system but it won't boot—can't even reach BIOS. The debug lights go to VGA and the PC cycles. I tried swapping GTX 1070 and GTX 1050 both into Windows, but there was an error about "vbios" at startup. It worked with the integrated graphics too, cycling a few times before booting fully. I've disabled and enabled CSM, updated BIOS and CMOS but nothing changed with the 3070. It still works on my brother's machine, but he only has a 500W PSU and I need advice. Sorry for any spelling or grammar issues—I'm not very confident with this, and I'm on the phone right now.
It might be the boot drive. Have you attempted starting from a portable OS such as Ubuntu or Winpe? You can create a bootable OS drive using a USB. Alternatively, consider reinstalling Windows on the drive or testing it on another machine to eliminate the possibility.
We didn't expect this, it's essentially brand new and only two months old. I'm 99% confident the card is working properly, though I'm not sure what's happening. I tried booting with the integrated version 20 minutes ago, but it didn't post without some problems. It seems to work with the 1050 and 1070 models now. Also, the CPU is fine—no issues detected.
