Avoid installing Intel Arc B580 drivers whenever possible.
Great, I'll focus on the final choice. Let me know if you need anything else!
Before taking apart the PC, try these steps: Reinstall the 2060. Launch Windows and obtain the correct drivers for what you want to install. Save them on your desktop. Restart in safe mode. Run the DDU for the NVIDIA driver. Power off, reinstall the B580. Restart again in safe mode. Apply the Intel drivers you need. Restart back into Windows.
Okey so I did all that, even tried connecting it directly to the motherboard, and it didn’t work. I was able to install drivers, but it refused to work properly. It said I don’t have rebar enabled when I clearly had (check it in windows and BIOS). I tried every little settings which was listed on the internet in case rebar isn’t functioning, and still nothing. I give up. I wanted to give intel a go, but clearly it doesn’t want me. I will wait some time (maybe generation or two and try Intel again). But for the time being I am stuck with NVidia crappy approach to its customers.
Have you experimented with starting up and employing built-in graphics rather than the dedicated card? You may need to access the BIOS, configure your primary output device, and then after installing drivers, revert it back to use the graphics card.
The solution is to turn off rebar in BIOS, switch to a different GPU, enable rebar again, and then change the GPU after power-off. It seems you have rebar active, but with secure boot it might cause a loop. Your friend likely did this to resolve the issue.
