Hey everyone, I'm facing a serious issue and feeling really overwhelmed. I upgraded from an RTX 2060 with 6GB RAM to an Intel Arc B580, followed all the setup instructions—used DDU, installed new drivers, and configured every BIOS setting properly. But it didn't work. I tried everything I could think of: first, reinstalling Windows to reset settings (but that didn't help), then installing a fresh OS. Now, even the video output is inconsistent—sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't at all. Once it does, the system runs extremely slow, probably due to Windows video acceleration or missing GPU drivers. The PC crashes when I open Edge, and copying drivers from a USB stick caused my computer to shut down. I've already backed up the drivers, but transferring them failed repeatedly. I'm stuck and don't know what to do next. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Consider using the drivers for the 2060 on your computer.

Attempted before, Intel refuses access because the system can’t identify any Intel graphics card

It depends on the specific setup. Removing the riser or switching to a different PCIe slot might affect compatibility and performance.

Because I'm working with an mItx board, testing different PCIe slots isn't possible and using it without a riser cable isn't an option. Still, I believe it's functioning well as I've been using it for a year without any issues. The B580 is recognized in BIOS with correct PCIe Gen 3.0 speeds and x16 lanes.

It's worth giving it a shot.

Consider what steps to take next. Remove the motherboard from the case, attempt to build a custom setup resembling a "Frankenstein monster" outside the original case, and then try to install the necessary drivers.

Sure, I imagine it would be neatly placed on a cardboard box, out of the case.

Sure, I’ll give it a shot tomorrow. Any additional tips you have? Why is my PC acting this way?

Consider using another browser and verify your chipset is current. Make sure everything is up to date, except for the riser cable, and try it without it.
