Disappointment over the 21:9 format – yet still understandable expectations.

It's disappointing because it's a Microsoft title, so you'd expect XBox controllers to function smoothly.

I haven't experienced any trigger problems since about three hours, playing with the 360 special edition (silver with rotating D-Pad) using a wireless adapter. The game feels similar to Metroid—you can explore freely but must progress through specific areas once you unlock certain abilities, making it more of a branching path than a straight line.

The X-box controller functions perfectly for me. I believe only other third-party devices, such as Logitech models, might encounter issues.

I encountered the Right Trigger problem with my Wireless Xbox 360 controller on Windows. After downloading it from Microsoft and updating to Windows 8.1 64bit, the controller functions perfectly in Ori. It's worth mentioning I was using a 64-bit version of Windows.
